Space Mountain
In college, inspired by the trend of turning theme park rides into movies, I tried to figure out how the famed Disney roller coaster Space Mountain could follow suit. Here is what I came up with:
Innocent space colonists are captured by an evil alien race. The bad aliens are transporting the colonists to a massive asteroid (known as the Space Mountain) where they will serve as their slaves, mining for precious metals. En route the colonists lead a revolt and take over the ship only to realize that they can't fly it. The out of control ship careens through space and adventures ensue.
Fast forward to my Visual Storytelling class this quarter. One of the assignments was to layout, ink and color a comic spread. I used this opportunity to see how my Space Mountain movie idea would translate into a comic.
